I have always been a storyteller.

As a child I wrote plays with my friends and performed them in our living rooms. In high school, I joined an experimental theatre program at Stanford where I remixed classic Greek myths and related their themes to my life as a 21st century teen. I couldn’t believe how timeless these stories felt, written thousands of years ago.

By college I was hooked on stories. I wanted to go deeper in understanding how they shaped us as individuals and as societies. I studied Anthropology in my undergrad at USC and explored the myriad stories of our species, eventually writing a thesis that told my own story seeking community among a range spiritual groups and women’s circles in Los Angeles. That work helped launch my journalism career, taking me to New York to join the reporting staff at HuffPost. I spent 7 years telling stories about individuals, communities and countries finding their way in an increasingly complex world.

These days I find myself telling stories in new ways, with an even wider range of creative and expressive tools at my disposal. Whether I’m coaching a group of womxn around self-expression, producing an event, or working with brands to craft the stories that drive business, I’m ignited by the same thing:

A compelling story that inspires swells of feeling, reveals surprising truths and invites more questions than it imposes answers.

With love,

Antonia
